November, 2008 – Spanish Virgin Islands

I also have lots of fun fishing. We caught a tuna on the way here. I yelled “Fish On”!!!!

We found 14 conch in one day. My mom made conch fritters and it was very good.

When we were in the Spanish VI, we went to the bioluminescent bay. It was really cool. When we went swimming, I glowed in the dark. Whenever you move your hands and legs you glow. The flying fish even glowed when they flew out of the water.

So far the best part of my trip has been fishing!!!

December 31, 2008 - Barbuda

We are in Barbuda. Yesterday my brother and I saw a tiger lizard. It was really cool. We played at a really big, cool beach. The beach was 11 miles long. My brother found a big conch at the beach that we are going to make a horn out of it. We had lots of fun.

March 2009 – San Blas Islands, Panama

We were at the San Blas Islands.  The Kuna Indians live there in huts.  They speak Spanish and Kuna.  The Kunas use canoes that they make from trees.  They use trees because they don’t have plastic or many tools.  They don’t have TV or lights on their islands.  On the islands we went swimming, playing, and snorkeling.  We saw a huge Stingray and a big squirrel fish.

April 2009 - Galapagos

The Galapagos has a lot and a lot of cool animals. My favorite animal is a sea lion. They are super duper cute and we saw a very small one that was with its mommy. It’s mommy barked at us because she thought that we were too close to it. We even got to swim with sea lions and they swim really fast. We saw penguins too. They are really cute and are my 2nd favorite animal. When we were going to the Galapagos I thought that my favorite would be the marine iguana but after being here my favorite is the sea lion. We thought that we would be able to swim with sharks but we didn’t get to which is probably OK. I loved the Galapagos.

September 9, 2009 - Niue

We loved Niue. We liked it because of the whales. The first whale we saw we named him Spot. The whales did lots of jumps and we even snorkeled with them. There were dolphins too. They were spinner dolphins and they had babies with them. The babies did tricks for us like flipping and jumping. There were also lots of sea snakes. The sea snakes mouths are not big enough to bite you but the snakes are very poisonous so if they could bite you it would be really bad. Niue was really fun.

October 31, 2009 - Hapai, Tonga
Tonga
had many whales.  They did lots of tricks like back flips, front flips, and there were even babies.  Some of the whales were even bigger than the whales that we saw in Niue.  There was this beach that we liked to play on.  It had real soft sand.  We called it the desert.  On one of the beaches we built a tree house.   We played in it a lot with our friends from other boats like Vagabond Heart, HipNautical, Monkey Feet, Anemos, Lucey Blue, Catmousses, and other friends.

In Tonga, we also went to school.  It was very fun.  The kids were learning English but did not speak a lot of English so they taught us Tongan.  My name was the same “Noah” in Tongan as in English.  At school we played games to learn English words and we drew a lot of pictures.  I read the whole school the book, “I Went Walking”.  They sang Tongan songs for us and did a puppet show.

We liked Tonga a lot.  I’d like to come back to Tonga again someday.  But our trip is still ahead.

December 10, 2009 - Nelson, New Zealand

It was fun in Nelson Lakes.  We did a fun hike to a nice hut.  We met Mike, Mike, and Linda.  We saw our first kea.  We counted markets all the way down

We did a very fun hike in Mt. Arthur.  We a had a fun place to stay the night.  We went to the summit of that place.  We walked on snow.  We saw our first Weka.

June 10, 2010 - Fiji

There was a big market in Fiji.  There was lots of stuff in like fruits, veggies, and coconuts.  I wanted to buy a coconut but I couldn’t because Dad was scared that we’d get bugs on the boat.  But I did get to eat a coconut that a man opened up with a machete.  It was really good.  Later we went to Musket Cove with our friends on CatMousses.  There are 4 kids on CatMousses and they are fun.  We had a lot of fun swimming in the pool with them and playing legos.

The snorkeling was very, very good in Fiji.  We snorkeled at a plane from WWII that had crashed in the water.  We tried to swim with Manta Rays near Manta Ray resort but we there weren’t any there when we were snorkeling.

July 4, 2010 - Vanuatu

We went to a volcano.  We saw hot, boiling lava shoot out from the volcano.  One was very, very big.   We also got to play with baby kitties at the Yacht Club.  They were very small and cute.  We got to hold them.

There was a pond but it was blue like a pool.  It was fun but it was very cold…but it was still fun.  It was warmer when you got used to it.

August 10, 2010 - Darwin, Australia

We were first at Thursday Island.  Then we went to Darwin.  We caught up with Orono I and then we went on a trip.  We went on a cruise.  We saw crocs and saw a big termite mound.  We went to Crocosaurus Cove and saw a star croc named Burt.  We saw crocs eat and we watched them jump.

August 16, 2010 - Kupang, Indonesia

We went to Kupang.  It has a dirty beach.  There was a big town and had a lot of trash.  In town it was so dirty, we could not touch the ground.

August 20, 2010 - Waimalung Village, Flores, Indonesia

We are in Flores.  We went to a school.  It was fun playing with the kids.  We taught the kids English.  We went on a canoe ride with Patrick.  It was not a canoe that you could buy in a store.  It was a wooden canoe.

August 27, 2010 - Flores, Indonesia

We went to the tri color lakes.  What makes the colors is the sulfur from the volcano.  So the lakes change color.  They were green, blue, and black.  We went to a village.  We danced and had a feast.  I did not like the food.

September 12, 2010 - Komodo National Park, Indonesia

We saw Komodo Dragons in Komodo.  It was fun.  We saw a water buffalo.  That was all cool.  We went on a one hour tour and saw about 50 dragons.  The second to the last one that we saw was my favorite.
