A Family Adventure.......

Welcome to Sail Imagine!  We are the Adams Family - Marc, Jane, Caroline, Grant, and Noah.  After years of dreaming, planning, and a little apprehension in October of 2007 we made the decision to buy a new boat, quit our jobs, move out of our home in Chicago and Sail to See the World.  One year later, we are ready to begin our adventure.  Our current plan is to explore the Caribbean, transit the Panama Canal and then off to the Pacific.  Check out our route for more information but remember that plans change especially in the islands.  We have created this site to update our family, friends, and anyone interested of our story.  We hope that you all enjoy and please keep in touch!

Please look through the site to get to know about us and our adventure.  Meet Caroline, Grant, and Noah and read their thoughts of the trip in the Kids Corner, check out the beautiful "Imagine" on our boat page, follow us through our route and logs, and most importantly find out how to contact us along the way.

What's New?

G'day Mates!

2 1/2 months, 3,164 Miles, 18 nights at sea on passage, 2 countries and a new ocean since our last update from Fiji.....Wow is all we can say!

Well, we've been enjoying ourselves along the way - even on the long passages - as we've made our way from Fiji to the Northern Territory of Australia closing the chapter on our Pacific Ocean Adventure.

We've updated our blogs including our time in Vanuatu where we experienced the VERY active Mt. Yasur Volcano - the experience ranks at the top of our all time coolest things in the world.  An incredible experience that will be difficult to do justice in a blog that none of us will ever forget.

We've also had an opportunity to do some outback adventures from our base here in Darwin Australia - lots of Kangaroos, Crocs & a good amount of Australia history and Aboriginal lore. We've had a great time here, but there's a lot that can kill you here, and swimming is not an option in the anchorage - if the one of the 150 salties they pull out of the harbor each year don't get to you, the killer jelly fish will certainly leave their mark.

So we are all ready for the coming adventures in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia & Thailand where we will be cruising through the end of the year.  Click on the following links for the most recent updates.
